Our kindergarten programs have been created by our trained teachers and are underpinned by the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) – Belonging, Being and Becoming.
At Glen Oak Kindergarten we appreciate that each child is unique in the way they learn and develop. Our Kindergarten program is developed to reflect this and to observe and evaluate the children’s focus learning areas.
We believe that the family is the first teacher and are essential in establishing positive learning outcomes for the children. We welcome and encourage the families to attend and participate in our sessions. We value the collaboration and partnerships we foster with our families.
At Glen Oak we aim to provide all children with rich and stimulating learning experiences, guided by our experienced teachers and educators. Our programs aim to build positive relationships with both peers and educators and to scaffold the children’s learning and experiences.
We use strategies to encourage and challenge the children; to develop problem solving, collaborative partnerships, communicate effectively, critical thinking and social capabilities.

Our kindergarten program includes both personal and educational objectives which we work to accomplish over the year. To dream big, our kids need the best start in life. We offer 15 hours of FREE kindergarten to both 3 and 4 year old children.

Glen Oak Kindergarten is part of the Central Enrolment Register managed by the Merri-Bek City Council. Please Register your interest for a position at Glen Oak Kindergarten by completing a registration form on the Merri-Bek City Council website.

Step 4: We Will Contact You
The kindergarten will contact you and offer you the choice of groups. We will also invite you to our AGM in November to collect enrolment paperwork.
