Our kindergarten program will accept your children who are three on or before the 30th April in accordance with the department regulations. If you are unsure of when the best time to start kinder will be for your child, please have a chat to our staff to discuss your options.
ELIGIBILITY
THREE YEAR OLDS: To be eligible to attend our kindergarten, your child must turn 3 before the 30th of April in the year they attend. The children cannot attend unless they are 3.
FOUR YEAR OLDS: To be eligible to attend our kindergarten, your child must turn 4 before the 30th of April in the year they attend. Children who attend in our 3 year old program are given priority to attend our 4 year old program.
No. Under Victorian kindergarten funding arrangements, children can only access one funded kindergarten program at a time. If your child is enrolled in a funded program at Glen Oak Kindergarten, they cannot also be enrolled in another funded kindergarten program at a different service.

Although we prefer children to be toilet-trained, they will not be excluded if they have not yet mastered the skill. The same applies for children who may need a nap. We can provide a comfortable space for a nap within our program.
1. A suitable backpack with sufficient extra clothes, in case of toileting accidents.
2. In summer and autumn – wide brimmed hat (own sunscreen if required)
3. In Winter – beanie, jacket, gumboots.
4. Lunchbox / Drink bottle – all meals are provided by the families. Please ensure to provide a nutritious and healthy morning tea/lunch and afternoon tea. Water or milk for drinking.
No. To help provide a safe environment for all children, we ask families not to send any foods containing nuts to kindergarten.
In accordance with our SunSmart Policy, hats must be worn from 1st September to 1st May.
Immunisation – No Jab, No play.
It is a requirement that all children are:
(1) fully immunised
(2) on a vaccination catch up program OR,
(3) unable to be fully immunised for medical reasons.
Families are required to provide an Immunisation History Statement as part of the Enrolment process.
If your child becomes unwell while at the centre, teachers will make them comfortable and ask you to pick them up. If you’re not available, they’ll call one of the other contacts listed in your enrolment details.
